Spring and Fruit trees

This horrible drought we've had has killed the neighbors 2 peach trees. Possible one of my cherry plums and half to one-third of my pear. So this weekend we bought a peach and nectarine tree! We had to stop there because we were in.the.car!! So we will be going back this next weekend for a couple more trees. Like a plum and maybe apple. Now I know it usually takes 2 each to pollinate, but there is a peach orchard (or used to be when the boys around elementary age) down the road here. These are self pollinators. There were lime and mandarin orange trees too. I was SO tempted by those! We eat/use those a ton.

We've been here 4yrs/5 Christmases now. There have been a lot of changes. Especially this year, mainly by weather and wear. So. This year we are going to try and fix some of it. One at a time.

Fruit Trees

So I have checked on my tree again. And with all the rain we've been getting, the Pear is loaded! Several branches are broken :( and the red wasps have made a home eek! There are also more Persimmons than last year. I will say though, that this tree still doesn't put much out compared to other fruits. According to my taste tester, Derek. The pears are bland this year, even with all the rain. Very crunchy, just like last year. Here are a couple pictures of their progress so far...
